    O’Donnell unveils plans for 53-story tower

    Developer John O’Donnell unveiled his plan last night for a 53-story office tower on the west bank of the Chicago River, but he still must sign up an anchor tenant to start construction.

    For the first time, the developers, architects, and lawyers behind the plan to turn a piece of industrial land on the Chicago River into a public park and unusually shaped office building have talked publicly about their plan.
    Developer John O’Donnell and U.S. Equities want to build a 53-story, 720-foot-tall skyscraper in the space between Randolph Place (165 North Canal Street) and the Chicago River.     Latest Downtown Office Tower to Rise 700 Feet Above River

    After more than 18 months of negotiations with Ald. Brendan Reilly (42nd), representatives from O’Donnell Investment Company were on hand to unveil an ambitious proposal for one of the most prominent sites in the city. Designed by Goettsch Partners, a 1.2 million-square foot office tower, known as 150 North Riverside, will rise to a height of 700 feet (53 stories) along the river. Its boxy design borrows heavily from 155 North Wacker, also by Goettsch, but distinguishes itself with a dramatic cantilever over a slender VIEW FULL

    Plans unveiled for 150 N. Riverside development

    The O’Donnell Investment Company has announced plans to develop a 1.2 million-square-foot office tower, located at 150 N. Riverside Plaza, in the heart of the West Loop submarket.   The development site is bounded by Randolph and Lake streets at the confluence of the three branches of the Chicago River.
